UGG Senior Engineer

• Work with PD at earlier development stage for pattern trails review and identify the risk if any from the pattern/ constructions etc. earlier, Provide for technical support to PD until it’s approved ok.

• Sign off the pattern gauge after pattern is approved ok by design/USPD

• Support PD for the product tear down meeting and lead the technical part

• Responsible for T1 handover package (T1 pattern/ Tech measurement /SOP/ T1 fitting report /approved last) to Commer.

• Give clear & concise communication to relevant stakeholders including overseas partners US Development and Design Teams; Asia Dev-Com and Production teams as well as factory partners.

• Analyze Tech-Packs and revisions to provide US Development and PLMs/product Design teams with alternatives suggestions in constructions, materials, costing, duty mitigation, etc.

• Drive the timely creation, delivery, and approval of all relevant technical information (shell patterns, 2D's, 3D's, lasts, patterns, blue-prints, etc.)

• Be trusted partner of Development, Commercialization, Engineering, Material Development, QA, Production, US HQ and Business Unit leaders.

• Drive the diagnosis of fit/wear and commercialization issues to ensure products are proven and tested for successful commercialization and mass production.

• Drive the execution of the Tech 1 sample process and ensure T1 approval and on-time RTB for production purchase order release and timely hand-off to Commercialization and Production teams.

• Upgrade the technical capability for BU /fcty through trainings per request.

• Attend T1 meetings attended by Development, Engineering, Material Development, Commercialization, Production, QA and factories’ Production & QA teams with focus on patterns, mold processes, materials, manufacturing processes, costing and end use performance.

• Work closely with functional departments within the BU (such as costing, factory planning, fit, mold lead) and the central functions outside the BU (such as SCOE, PST, RTB, Bottoms Team, Lab & Innovation).

• Travel to factories, suppliers, and US HQ as necessary.

• Proactively seek, evaluate and monitor new technologies relevant to the industry.

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience Work Experience:
• 5+ years experience in the footwear industry with concentration in Development, Commercialization, Production or Quality Assurance
• Working knowledge of material applications for product use
• Working knowledge of product constructions Skills/Competencies:
• Ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast paced environment
• Ability to work in a complex global organization satisfying the needs of diverse constituents with competing deadlines and priorities.
• Ability to effectively prepare and present information and respond to questions from Senior management, HQ team and other employees of the organization.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills
• Proficient in various Microsoft Applications and PLM systems
• Working knowledge of materials, lasts, molds, compound development, foot anatomy
• Working knowledge of the tools of the trade including calipers, hardness gauge, tape measure, profile gauge, Brannock device, etc.
